As a husband and wife team, we are driven for our passion of hospitality. Listed below are our collection of self-managed Airbnb suites in historic downtown Elizabeth City. We take pride in offering clean, simple, and affordable studio accommodations that will make you feel right at home.
Be our guest in the newly remodeled River City Lodge, which is believed to be one of the oldest Masonic buildings in NC that housed the Oddfellows fraternity, built around 1847. The Lodge houses 3 Airbnb suites, with the Munro suite and Lighthouse suite on the upstairs floor, and the Secret room on the downstairs floor (listed below). We reside in the adjacent home on premises, the former Elizabeth City Bed & Breakfast.
The Munro suite is a studio space with queen size bed, a couch with pull out bed, full kitchenette and full bathroom.
The lodge sits on property adjacent to our home, and offers a downstairs gathering space, the “Leatherneck Lounge” that provides a pool table for guests to enjoy (with quiet hours from 9pm-6am) and washer and dryer free of charge. The covered outdoor patio area with big screen tv offers a comfortable space for guests to relax, in addition to a firepit, a pond with a small “nook” perfect for a good book, and a small backyard area that houses kayaks to explore the river that is 5 blocks away.
Bikes are also available to explore our downtown area, and ample parking is available on the street or in our private parking lot.
The Lodge sits in one of Elizabeth City’s many historic districts and is walking distance to breweries, restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, the waterfront, a fabulous wine bar and our gym that is also accessible 24 hours and at your disposal.
The Lighthouse suite is a studio space with queen size bed, an oversized chair with pull out bed, full kitchenette and full bathroom.

The Library room is a completely private living area located on the ground floor of our home, which is known as the historic L.S. Blades house, built in 1896. The room has a private entryway with easy self-check-in and is steps away from a dedicated parking spot (driveway) for parking. This is a unique alternative to a hotel stay!
The Library is a spacious room with queen size bed, a private full bathroom with a stand-up shower, a flat screen TV with free access to Hulu, a mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. We provide you separate heat and air conditioning from the home to adjust to your liking. This distinctive room lives up to its name by offering an array of books for you to enjoy!

The Bradford Building, built in 1898, has been occupied by several of Elizabeth City's most prominent mercantile establishments throughout the years. The building's upstairs has since been lovingly restored and now houses a spacious 1-bedroom apartment and cozy studio apartment (listed below). The downstairs of the building is now a gym, free of charge to use.
This 1 bedroom apartment is fully furnished. It can sleep up to 4 (3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children). There is a queen size bed in the bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room. The living room has a 50 inch smart t.v. for your viewing pleasure. There is 1 full bath with a washer and dryer available. The kitchen and dining area has everything you need to cook up a meal...refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. A keurig coffee maker is also provided. The apartment is on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator. There is free WiFi located throughout the apartment as well
You'll be one block from our beautiful waterfront, our downtown restaurants, entertainment, and breweries. You'll have your own reserved parking spot directly across the street from the entrance. You can also enjoy 24hr access to the gym downstairs. Over 40 classes per week are offered that you may join in as well for free. We even have 2 beach cruisers you can use to explore our beautiful city.
